Rice University student engineers have created an Automated Bag Mask Valve Device that is designed to reduce the load on existing ventilators. It is my understanding that Rice University is trying to attain FDA clearance by Friday.
The device will reduce the load on existing ventilators by helping people in Respiratory Distress whom are not in a critical state. When the device is approved manufacturing will require assembling parts cut with Laser Cutters, parts printed with 3D printers and small scale electrical components.
